The first time I realized, looking in the mirror, that my hairline was receding, I noticed my fundamental emotional reaction to it: "Cool, I look like my dad!" Losing hair just feels like part of life to me, and I'm open to that part of it.
Conversely, I *really* don't like the hairloss-denying looks, eg the comb-over obviously, but also the bald-on-top-but-ponytail-in-back look. I found recently that my hair length was starting to look at odds with the hairline, so off it went! I'm really happy with it now.
"Chicks dig it" is a reference to a particular friend's story about his hair. There's 2 points worth of truth in it for me as well since I have gotten a few extra head-strokes, which is a niftiness. I was very amused to note that the one person who picked answer #5 was that very friend! :-) :-)
