I am observing that Simon's not completely comfortable in my lap unless he's immobilizing one of my arms with his chin. Normally I use both when I need to and he jumps down within 15 minutes. Tonight I'm typing one-handed, and he's been here (purring, I might add) for 40 minutes.

:-) :-)
Anyone know what this means?

When I'm ssh'ing out from work recently, I'm getting disconnected with "Read from remote host mail.homeport.org: Connection reset by peer" after just a few seconds of idleness sometimes.

I get disconnected with that message all the time in the normal course of things (connecting from home as well), but only after 20-40 minutes idle.

It's unreliable -- my current session has been idle for 10 minutes and is still connected, but before that I had to re-login twice while reading a single email.

I'm figuring it's related to network topology changes here at hmco, but I can't easily complain about it because there's no need for me to ssh out as part of my job. :-(
