Matt the copyeditor
Apr. 1st, 2004 11:14 pmI just copyedited the Camram Frequently Raised Objections page.
Search for "spammer's". If you find that word, my copyedit hasn't been implemented yet. I made 40 changes.
What happened: I emailed the author politely suggesting he copyedit this page, since a professional appearance would aid adoption of his anti-spam method. He responded that he uses speech recog software and certain kids of error are frustrating to keep up with. He said he'd be happy for me to send him an edit -- I'd had that in mind from the outset, but it didn't feel right to offer up front.
There were no misspellings, but wordos, run-ons, misplaced commas, s ending problems, capitalization problems -- exactly what you'd expect given his input method. Plus some points of logic that needed correcting, which I hope he agrees with.
