Witchy shopping!
Oct. 24th, 2004 09:19 pmA very successful trip to Salem today! My first visit there. We thought we were going to see some attractions but it was all too touristy to take. However our primary draw was the opportunity to look for house decorations and ritual tools in an area with some authentic shops and a practicing community. In that regard we did well:
-A new singing bowl, larger than my current one, with several nice tones. Plus an excellent stand.
-Pretty aromatherapy diffuser and some scent.
-Good-sounding wind chimes. (Then later, exposure to some breathtaking ones, which I sent a link to my dad about since he'd asked us to name a housewarming gift.)
-An enlarged framed Osho Zen Tarot card ("Trust", one of the most significant cards in that deck for me).
-Zen stone garden, travel size.
-Books: Stevia cookbook, Herb Almanac, Sinus Survival.
-A good sized round resin piece of a pentacle amidst the world tree, with text:
"Thee I invoke by the moonlit sea, by the standing stone, and the twisted tree."
Started to watch a DVD this evening ("Someone Like You"), we shut it off in disgust after 30 minutes and spent the rest of the evening hanging art on our walls. Yay for art!
