Since my last post I have slept two hours, eaten dinner, and otherwise continued to work on this data migration. (I'd thought I was done except for an hour's worth of work spread over six hours.) Calls in to Apple about two different issues, one still unresolved. The soonest this *can* complete now is 3am. This is less satisfying now.
