As I was drifting in and out of consciousness this morning I found myself taking the opportunity to practice reframing these papers as something I'll naturally be working on today, not-a-big-deal, etc. Is this what I've heard people refer to as the hypnogogic state?

It worked! Today I put a good three hours in -- I read through a case study by another Person-Centered Therapist for ideas of things to look for, looked through all my Person-Centered Journals for more case studies (found none!), and listened to one of the three tapes I have of the client I'm going to write about. I'm thinking if this turns out well I may submit it to the PCJ; they're clearly lacking this kind of input. (I've been encouraged in the past to send them stuff, so this is in my thoughts already.) Yay me!

So, another two tapes to listen to, and some outlining -- I could have this done by the end of the week. I'll keep practicing the reframing trick too because I may be vulnerable to backsliding.
